Ok here’s the second to last panel.

I’m already steeling myself for comments about the dolphin not really relating to the idea of backwardness enough. I should have chosen an animal that walks backwards. You’d be right!

  1. Backwards walking animal, yes… how about a crab? No, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the dolphin, I like it. I do like the fact that you are thinking about way to introduce the idea of “backwardness” into other elements of the strip, I hope you’ll keep it up. (Even if in this case you’re just flaunting your NOT using it.)

There’s not much going on in this panel but depending what comes before it that shouldn’t be a problem. This panel will probably serve as that last beat between something that is said or happens in the previous panel and the last panel (which will presumably then make at least a bit more sense).

I’ll be interested to see if the dolphin appears before this panel or if this will be its first appearance.

  2. Yeah I really blew it by using that simple panel. What was I thinking? I don’t know if it was a good idea.

I’m sure this one won’t turn out satisfying. (You can tell J.)

I’ve got a third panel but I’m going to stare at it a little longer before I post it.

  3. You’re panicking, Tom, there’s no reason this one won’t turn out great.
